Update: her name is Karen.
Update 2: Karen called to apologize to me. I felt it was sincere. Although it does not make what she did ok, she does recognize her mistakes.
I don't know of this lady was racist or what. White lady, blonde hair, processed or colored blonde, not natural, damaged at the ends. I didn't get her name. I went in with my boyfriend to get him a cut. She seemed nice at 1st and then i said it was too cold and was going to the car to wait which she replied "maybe you should put on more clothes?"
Fine, whatever. Sly remark, but whatever. I'm waiting in the car. Only problem? I have the reference photo. She walks out demanding my phone (mind you, I'm in the car windows up) I'm like huh? What? She bangs on my car window demanding my phone. I roll the window down and say excuse me, what? "Gimme the phone" confused i say what again and she just repeats herself. I asked what for she said the photo, I said i would send it directly to him I'm not giving you my phone.
She rolled her eyes, said whatever and walked back inside. It was obvious she didn't want my boyfriend to come out because she knew she would loose that sale.
Little to my knowledge she asked my boyfriend "you let your girlfriend walk out of the house like that?" (I'm in a sports bra and shorts. This store is in FL... Need i say more?) She continued to be rude to him throughout the cut while at the same time asking if he wants upgrades.
The most basic cut, no shampoo, no hot towel, extra attitude was $19. Looks fine. Luckily after her "37 years" of hair cutting experience she was able to do an ok cut without messing it up. Sad that she couldn't keep her opinions and personal views to herself when providing a service.
Oh, I'm hispanic and my boyfriend is white. She was nice to him when we 1st walked in and i got nothing but nasty remarks and rudeness from her each encounter. Which is why i started this with idk if she is racist or what. I would seek to contact corporate if only I had gotten her name. Photos are reference vs result.
