I must say I have lived in lutz for 9 years and have made great clips my place for hair cuts. There was a lady there that I loved so much and was so down to earth gave the best advice but still listened to what you wanted, however she left and is no longer there seemed like everyone good leaves. The past 3 hair cuts I have had the same stylist, Mona. The first visit was fine although she didn't understand what 1/2 of an inch was considering 2 1/2 was taken off. It's hair it will grow back no big deal. The second time I had Mona again, I had to go back the next day to get the cuts straightened out because they were not straight and layers were not put in as I asked. I should have learnt from the first two experiences but this last time (Friday 5/20) I signed in online ahead of time and had a 25 minute wait. Got there as the family was walking in that was signed on before me, and Mona was the only one available, the other stylist had a wait with that family of people ahead of me. Plus another lady that was already there waiting (Guess they had the same experience with Mona that's why they were avoiding her) she takes me back, I tell her what I wanted, again 1/2 inch became 2 inches, and she "blended" the layers that she chopped up last time, frameed my face and that was done. The whole time of the hair cut she kept on and on about the wet brush she was using on my hair and how I need it for my hair it's a must have, makes my hair soft and takes the tangles out of my curls, pressure selling this brush like she's a rep for the company but I bought it for $14.00. I have been in retail and know all about upsell and commission felt bad so I bought it paid, tipped her and went on about my day. Saturday morning I ran to Sally's beauty supply for styling product and seen the wet brush cheaper and I'm a member there so it was just about free with discounts and coupons. so I bought it at Sally's and was going to take back the wet brush Mona sold me the night before. The brush was unopened and I had my receipt. I called the store to make sure I could return the unopened brush, she answered the phone and told me it was nonreturnable so I asked for a manager and none was available. I called a different store on 54 in lutz and Katie that answered told me any merchandise unopened and unused was returnable with receipt and has to be returned at the same store purchased as each store is privately owned. Sunday I call this store again for a manager and Mona answered, no manager again so she told me, I didn't believe it since she lied once to me already and got frustrated just asked when will one be in I need to speak to one in charge, another lady comes on the phone and I explained her my reaccuring issues I have had with Mona and she immediately apologized and made notes in my account that the merchandise can be returned and reassured me of there policy.
SO TAKE IT FROM MY EXPERIENCE call ahead make sure you have a stylist you like and one that will listen to your wants and doesn't lie. If she truly "didn't know" the return policy don't lie just ask someone who knows. I don't like sneaky and I don't like a stylist who isn't listening to your wants but what they think is better for you.
