Would've loved to have provided a complete review of services, but never made it through the front door. Regrettably, locked out and left standing in dismay the day before a family photo shoot. I get it, the service industry loves to chide that last minute customer... you know the types, the ones that waltz in moments before close. The thing is, it happens to all of us at some point or another. However, understanding I'd be cutting it close, I checked in nearly 25 minutes before close via the Great Clips app. Seeing there was still a significant wait (approximately 20 minutes), I gathered my place in line was held while I would still be in line to be the final customer of the day. I was mistaken.
Arriving to the shop, I parked while tossing my wife the keys so she could pull out our 2 year old son and lock up while I could still make it in time. As I approached the door and started opening, the lady at the desk hurried over to the door to inform me the shop was closed. They close promptly at 6pm on Saturday. What about my check-in? Didn't matter. What about the gentleman that was still being helped and holding my wait time (assuming I had been even 5 minutes earlier, I'd be in the shop and waiting - on the same timeline!)? Also, didn't matter. The point was, their computer read 6pm and that meant it was time to close. What about the sign in the window that still read, "OPEN"? Nope, in fact even that was disputed.
No, in the end none of this mattered. The door was pried back from my hands and promptly locked. Yes, even locking-in the existing customer still inside.
Insulting, rude and unprofessional - this was a horrible experience.
