My sister and I went Missy’s about two weeks ago. I chose Missy because the reviews were good. However, after being a customer, I am not sure why the reviews are good. I will say, Missy and her staff are very nice, but not customer service oriented. We had an appointment and when we got there, the shop wasn’t open. So, I called and the young lady said they were on their way. My first problem was the guy doing my hair, he must be new because, my grandson could have braided faster; and of course, he pretended not to understand English. But he knew how to ask for the MONEY. Along the way I made several observations and complaints. Missy always tried to explain her way out of doing what I wanted and knew should be done to MY hair. Finally I just gave up. By then I was pissed. Needless to say the prices she charged are crazy. The $200 for Senegalese twist that my sister paid should have been $150, $180 at the least. My sister has so many gaps in the back of her head she has to wear her hair either all up or all down because the parts are too big. I paid $200 for box braids that I took out the same night the damned things were too tight. I keep telling the guy it was too tight but he acted as though he could not understand. I finally told Missy to have him make them bigger because I could no longer take the pain. Again, she dismissed my (the customer) request. I swear if I didn’t think I would go to jail, I would have walked out without paying them.
Go to Missy’s at your own RISK. You have been WARNED!!!!
