I was going to one of those "men" centered salons. I am not a sports guy and don't need to see sports scores when I am getting a haircut, nor do I need to see dead animals on the walls. And I started to wonder, after the 3rd cut, why the stylist kept talking to me as if we were like in a relationship. Ok, there is a South Park episode where the local school girls open up a social cafe and pander to the boys who end up spending all their money because they feel like they are special and the girls actually like them. Sadly, its just a transaction so to speak. After the 3rd time I made the connection. Duh! ! It was just convenient to my location/schedule. So, when Maria cut my hair at Salon, I realized just how bad of a cut I was getting. You know the difference when you get a cut from someone that knows exactly what they are doing. And the conversation was authentic and I didn't feel like I was trapped in a South Park episode.
