Personally, I've a lot of anxiety surrounding haircuts and hair appointmets as it is, and with prom that day, my nerves were at an all-time high. I was greeted at the salon with a frown and a scolding for having damp hair (something that had never been an issue for my usual salon, as they make an incredible effort to enhance your natural hair). Before asking me what sort of style I was looking for, the stylist l, to my horror, began straightening my curls with a hairdryer. The final product of my appointment was plain, ironed curls with little definition. The stylist took 10 minutes to ring up the bill, and she did so in silence without letting me know that's what she was doing. Overall, service was abysmal, and nearly every step was taken to make me feel unwelcome. From discrepancies between the site's booking details to reception over the phone, to a lack of in-person customer service, Bella Vita salon proved to be nothing short of stress-inducing.
