I wanted to share my experience from August 5th not because I didn't like my stylist. I rated her a 7/10, but due to the poor customer service skills from management .
I booked an appointment with Brook on 8/5 (original review posted below) and rated her skills a 7/10. I called again this morning to book again with her and received a call from the salon manager. The manager asked why would I book again with the same stylist that I gave such a horrible review. (Very hostile tone) I explained that the blow dry was great but in my opinion she was inexperienced in doing ethnic hair. I further stated that the issue I had was with her treatment of the hairs framing my face or edges. Although she used a flat iron they were not strait. I also went into detail as many blow bars in this area are not experienced in this type of hair, to which she agreed.
I am from the east coast where I go to blow bars on the regular and have not experienced this lack of experience in various hair textures.
The manager's rude, abrasive, confrontation tone let me know this place lacks more than experience with textures but customer service as well.
Original review below...Thank you
The up charge for for hot tool (waived) would not be needed if the stylist was trained to work on all hair types. I am mixed and have fine curly hair and the hot tool was needed to go over my edges. The stylist was not familiar with this type of hair, as I still had to do my roots and edges at home with a flat iron. My suggestion is to have more training on ethnic hair and how to blow dry so a hot tool is not needed.
