The owner Beli has been doing my hair since before she opened Pico Madama. Before her I went to different stylists all over Las Vegas, but only Beli really understood my style. She makes my hair look beautiful, but it also feels and looks so healthy! She listens, is a great stylist and is an expert with color.I really feel confident about my hair and myself when I go to Beli! The salon is modern and chic and makes you feel like a star!! I love coming here.

On a recent trip to Vegas, I made a decision Saturday morning to visit a salon to “correct” my hair that had taken a turn for the worse, before my big “Vegas” night out. My color had gone from bright and rich, to dark and dull. I had a Brazilian Blowout that was fading and had left my skin frequently broken out, and a cut that was lifeless. I decided on an overhaul. I stepped into Pico Madama, which I soon learned was a newly remodeled and relaunched salon. The impression of the salon is bright and soothing. The stylists stations were placed up front with lots of light and space to work. (I hate sitting to close to someone else and overhear all of their conversation.) The coloring location was slightly separated and with large mirrors so you can watch the process. The sinks had a privacy wall up, so that you could enjoy your shampoo without wondering if someone can see up your skirt while relaxing. And a beautiful sitting area with lots of great magazines to read. I was immediately greeted by Beli, the head stylist and consultant. Right away she offered me a coffee and then we both sipped our drinks while I tried to explain what I was looking for. I could tell she knew right away where I was going with my vague descriptions and she pulled out the color book so I could select what I wanted my end result to be. Upon examining my hair, which was somewhat damaged from repeated colorings and fading chemical Brazilian blowout, she made her recommendations. She would start with my roots to dye the virgin hair, then she would mix a separate dye for the rest of my hair to lighten them and take the new color, avoiding doing a damaging bleach job. I trusted her completely. While I was waiting for my hair to process throughout the various steps, she explained the advantages of the Keratin treatment versus the chemical Brazilian. While I loved how the Brazilian kept my hair straight, it also often left it feeling greasy and limp on the 2nd day between washings. And additionally, I had been struggling with a mysterious breakout occurring on my neck and around my hairline that I was beginning to wonder if the formaldehyde you hear about so much was causing it. So I decided to try this new one, where the product is actually left in the hair for 72 hours before washing. I was so amazed! The color was amazing, and she had really matched my roots and my ends. The Keratin had left my hair silky and smooth, but not weighted at all. She had waited until the very end to trim my hair taking off my damaged ends and shaping my new look. A cheap salon will cut your hair first, so that they can use less product to dye your hair, but will increase the damage. A good salon knows to wait until the end as a finishing step. All through the process, she and I talked, laughed, and gossiped. I told her of my troubles with a co worker and she gave some great advice, she told me about her family and her son. I felt like I had spent my time with my best friend. I will definitely be driving to Vegas to keep up this new look.
