DO NOT come here for Keratin hair smoothing treatment. She does not know what she is doing. I trusted her with my daughter's hair. She has mixed hair and I called in to speak to her first and made an appt. a week in advance. First off, she did it completely wrong. She applied the treatment and let her sit on it for hours and then just flat ironed her hair. I thought at first that maybe there were multiple ways of doing this treatment but after leaving that salon and consulting with another they explained to me that my instincts were right and I should of just left. I consulted with a few professionals after that and they explained the entire process to me and it wasn't even a quarter of what they did at this place. We were there from 10am till 9pm. Her excuse was that she didn't know she was goin to be short staffed and she was alone. So, she knocked $10 off the price. She charged me $150.00 and her hair looked horrible! She didn't even straighten it right. She didn't try rollers or blow drying straight. She used a flat iron to do her entire hair. I blame my self and my ignorance of not knowing the process and for allowing it to happen. Never again will I trust a stylist if I feel that something isn't being done right I will speak up! And then to top it off, my daughter had to wait months to get it done right so her hair wouldn't get damaged and now I know the difference. Her hair looks great and its been straight and slighty wavey for months! Left side is this salon's keratin treatment and the right side is a real professional keratin treatment.

Called hair salon around 11am to ask about pricing and to actually see if they were open, while talking it seemed like the line got cut. Called again, didn't pick up. So thought it was a phone issue, no big deal. Got myself up and decided to just go there, made sure I looked at their store hours real quick and it said they were open on Tuesday from 10am to 6pm. Great, so I ran down there and it was around 12:35. I get there and there's a lady standing In the doorway confused, she said she's been here for awhile and no ones here. Feeling frustrated I stood there for a bit with her, after waiting for a bit I walked down broad street to get some good. Came back around 12:58 and they still weren't there. Idk why black hair salons always have some type of issue to where they're unprofessional but this is a constant. I just transitioned to natural awhile ago and wanted to get a simple cut, I stopped going to African hair salons cause they charged a load and were always neglectful in doing your hair and would mess up my edges and now it seems like finding a natural hair salon over here that's professional enough to let they're customers know whether or not they'll be here is a struggle. I would've been ok with it if it wasn't for the fact that they didn't even leave a sign or anything, you need to do something more important ok, but just say when you'll be back or that you left to do something so you don't have people standing outside your salon looking dumb

I went to this salon while transitioning to natural hair. They were very polite, the shop was neat, and they were knowledgeable about natural hair care. I will definitely be returning.

I really had a great experience with Ms. Lanae (my apologies if I spelled it wrong). She did a huge color job for me ( I say HUGE because I completely natural before hand, no color, no perm, nada!) She made me feel very comforable and confident in her coloring abilities. I cannot express enough how happy I was with the outcome and will refer/ look forward to coming back soon :) Thanks again!
