Rebeka gave me a great lob haircut, I am really happy with a result! Very nice salon in Dumbo neighborhood! Great experience.

I recently visited the salon because I was in the area. I'm from Queens. I was weary because of some recent reviews but decided to make an appointment because I had no other time to get a haircut. I got a cut, gloss and color. I was scheduled with Eileen and yes, it was pricey but then again it's DUMBO. Rents must be very high there? I have to say, it was worth every penny and will definitely be going back!! Maybe not as often as I'd like because I can't afford it, but every single person I've come into contact with has mentioned how great my new hairstyle looks! Thank you so much Eileen!

Truly terrible. The first time I went to this salon for a simple bang trim I saw Rebekah, who was excellent. She consulted me about a gloss tint for my hair and overall did an great job. I decided a few weeks later to do the gloss tint and called to make an appointment. The receptionist who answers the phones is consistently rude and unprofessional- tells me Rebekah isn’t working that day but to come in and see another stylist. The man who helps me has no idea about the product or service, asks me what he should do.. I tell him honestly I have no background in hair and do not know how to direct him. He calls over another stylist, who I believe is the owner, to help him and coach him thru this painful consultation and they assure me the gloss will give my hair a beautiful tint. Because I have brown hair and the gloss has a very mild effect he tells me we will let the product sit in my hair for a few extra minutes. After applying the product he tells me to just go back to his chair and sit to wait.. I sit myself down and notice how sloppy the job is. To the point that full sections of my hair have no product while both my ears and neck are splotched with product... after bringing this to his attention he applies more gloss to the areas he missed. He says to let it sit for 15 minutes. Naturally I look at my phone for the time and sit and entertain myself while I wait. He calls me over 9 minutes later, I ask if he’s sure it’s enough time and he says yes it’s been 15 minutes. Washes the product out and their is literally no change in my hair color. Several other stylists at this point come over and say with a dismissive tone “oh yeah, no, that won’t work for your hair. You have to use a permanent dye.” Which completely sends me, why wasn’t this told to me during my consultation?? This stylist clearly had absolutely no idea what he was doing and should have been honest with me. A HORRIBLE experience. I tried again to see Rebekah to trim my bangs. Shame on me. I call the salon the day before to make an appointment with her. The receptionist confirms my appointment for 11am the next day. I show up. No appointment in my name and the owner tells me she’s not even working that day. Awesome. He tells me another stylist can trim my bangs. I tell her I want a half inch trimmed and I wear my bangs super blunt and straight across. I honestly should have known she was going to be disappointing. Unpolished and inattentive. She doesn’t section my hair at all, trims maybe a millimeter of my bangs- not even fully across- and asks me “how’s that?” She then points out how she missed a side, at this point I just want to get out of this salon before she truly messes up my bangs so I say it’s fine. Pay for the worst bang trim of my life and leave. NEVER to come back again. This salon is so disappointing. -The response from the owner below, though I appreciate the thought and consideration, is incorrect. My hair was completely untreated before I asked for the gloss treatment and I specifically asked for that service because I was desiring a minimal affect as I work in a professional setting.

This is the BEST hair salon in Brooklyn. You can't get more expert balayage and keratin treatments. Jeff is a superb hairdresser, we call him a hair poet. Brenna is a true master at balayage - people stop me on the street to ask me where I go. The owner, David, is bringing in the most talented experts. It's like a top NYC salon at Brooklyn prices. While you're here, you can visit the Brooklyn Bridge Park, the restaurants, and shop. What more could any man or woman want?

I booked a few appointments with David and his staff for my wedding day and the day before. He did such an incredible job and made me feel at home while I was enjoying that weekend with my dearest loved ones at the salon. It ended up raining all day of my wedding and was extremely windy yet my hair still turned out great. It was a beautiful NY day.
