I have been wanting to post this review for some time and tossed the idea back and forth, but I have to share this with others. Had my hair colored two years ago here and my head was on fire, literally burning so bad I was almost in tears. I immediately told the stylist something was wrong. She washed my hair right away to find out there were burns all over my scalp. A few seconds later I heard everyone around the salon whispering and talking amongst one another. Later to find out, this happened to a few other girls prior to me that used the same products. Apparently this batch of color was bad and the company agreed to take the order back, but the salon still kept the line out and available for stylists to use on clients.
I spent hundreds of dollars to have my hair done, hundreds of dollars at a burn specialist because I had degree burns all over my scalp and then had to continue to follow up with a dermatologist weekly to make sure my hair wasn't going to fall out. It was hell for me. I was upset for months over this in fear my hair was going to fall out in clumps (which the doctors told me could happen due to the burns all over my scalp). We had to wait for the scabs to fully heal and scar to be sure I was going to be okay. Not to mention, I had to vaseline my entire scalp for months which made my hair look absolutely awful and greasy until everything healed. I was mortified walking into work, looking like I didn't shower in weeks due to the grease look when you put Vaseline in your hair.
Overall this was a nightmare experience and it is unfortunate it happened to me and anyone else, but I feel this story has to be told to educate others. I contacted the salon owner and she clearly let me know this happened to someone else and "not to worry" but I'm sure if this was her head of hair and such a traumatic experience she would feel differently. Not trying to reassure me "it happened before and goes away". I have the messages still (screenshots saved), but will refrain from posting them to keep everyone’s identity removed. I am not on here to bash anyone individually as I understand things do happen, but this was completely unacceptable and should never happen once and then again to others.
I really tossed up the thought of posting this for almost two years now, but I really never want this to happen to anyone else. Please be cautious with whatever you're putting on your head. Ask questions and make sure your stylist is using a product that was tested prior and is not damaged like the line this salon used on me.
