Just moved to Winston in November from Charlotte, NC. Really needed a stylist. Called the Salon and was given an appointment that week. In Charlotte area you better make your next appointment the day of your style or its six weeks just to get a cut. Met the stylist they set for me. Steve is an outstanding Barber. It usually takes three or four cuts before the stylist understands my hair. Steve took a few minutes asking about how I liked my hair cut, looked at how it was being done previously and gave me the best cut ever. I've been back twice now and I've found my stylist. I'm in an out in less than thirty minutes max with a great cut and style. I would put these stylist up against the best Charlotte has to offer. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. I very rarely post this much but if you're looking for a great salon and want a homie but professional atmosphere then Champney & Co is the place to try.

The worst haircut experience ever!!! Avoid this place at all costs especially if you have children. We tried to fit in a last minute haircut with a new salon/hairdresser as our regular stylist at another salon was booked until after the holidays. I asked Her to use scissors for my child's hair. She said it would take way too long to use scissors and that my son would not sit still. My son is a very well mannered and behaved 6 year old whom this woman had never met. Halfway through, my son started holding his head and trying to hold back tears, visibly very distressed. . Again, I asked her to please use scissors. Again, she refused, indicating that it would take too long. Keep in mind, there was no one in line waiting for her services. When my child got in the car he started screaming in tears that his head was throbbing. She didn't once trim the back of his hair or above his ears with scissors. When he was crying she handed him a soiled cloth and told him to dry up his tears because it would make the hair stick. My son hadn't cried like this over getting his haircut since he was a baby. Not once did she ask if he was alright. The most insulting part of the whole ordeal, which, literally took 7 minutes, was that she had the audacity to charge $13 for her inexperienced service. Will have to get him into an experienced hairdresser ASAP to correct her horrible shearing. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a hairdresser.

This is a top notch hair salon! Knowledgeable, friendly, and a great environment. You will NEVER leave this salon with the "I don't like my hair cut/color" like you would everywhere else. I highly recommend them!
