The phone number on this Groupon is the nail tech's cell phone, and it's extremely difficult to get a return call. In fact, at the appointment that I did manage to get (three weeks after I called), her cell phone kept ringing. Without answering the phone, Fasha kept making fun of the callers by shaking her head and going on about how "people just want instant gratification - they just don't know how to wait." She told me twice that she would never do another Groupon again; "it's just too much stress."
At the appt I actually did wait, because she was not ready when I arrived. Apparently I violated her space by walking back to the area where the nail table was: she told me I should walk back to the front and she'd "let me know when I could come back." I hadn't known what to do, because no one so much as said hello when I walked into the salon.
As I picked out a color, she told me she needed me to hurry because she was already late and didn't want to get more behind. So I sat down, and guess what? She's not even good at doing nails. She never trimmed them to make them all the same length, and the polish did not go on smoothly. At the end of one coat, I commented on this, and she sighed and said in a slow, rude voice, "I'm not done." OK. Yes, I do know that two coats are normal, but I wasn't feeling confident or relaxed by this point. So the second coat went on. Still gloppy and getting thick, not to mention a few bubbles in the polish. I asked her if she thought it would be OK to do a third coat or did she think that would make it too thick to dry or something. She sighed again and said, "Unless you know something I don't know." How rude are you, Fasha?
At this point, I was just thinking about the second Groupon that I had already bought - although I still had not received a return phone call regarding the appt, even after calling three times and texting twice. I asked if I could just get a refund for the second one. She said sure and carried on.
The final straw was when she did not apply nail polish all the way to the bottom of my left thumb nail. Yes, after three coats, you could still see bare nail. I asked her if she could please fill in that area. She told me I was telling her how to do her job, that I was in her space, and that she was not going to finish. She literally walked to the front door of the salon and held the door open for me; she was kicking me out. It was rude, it was insane, and it took me by surprise. I asked to talk to the manager, and Fasha informed me that she is her own manager. This all occured in front of one of the hair stylists and her client. Embarrassing.
Bottom line, Fasha is rude, doesn't return phone calls, and does a lousy job with nails.
I have already called Groupon and the woman I spoke with was very nice and refunded both my Groupons. Thank you, Groupon.
