Really nice variety of products and services, but it's not as great as it was when it first opened. I'm a Platinum member with ULTA. So, I do spend quite a bit of time and too much money there! When the Bee Cave location was opened, it was really a fun place to shop for all things beauty related. The reason was the employees that they had then. There were a few girls that were at this location for several years. One of those girls (Monica)was so helpful and gracious to every customer! She and the team she worked alongside made sure that each person who shopped(whether purchasing or just checking out the latest pallettes)felt welcome. The staff was skilled and professional, which made everything just "work" there. Unfortunately thing's seem to have changed in the past yearand a half. Good employees apparently weren't valued and left for better options elsewhere. Now the store here seems to have a continuous turnover of very young, very inexperienced workers. I know everyone has to start somewhere. But ULTA needs to balance that fact out by ensuring that at least a few people on the floor have some experience or training in makeup, or are a licensed esthetician. These people know me. I'm there a lot! But just last week, while Christmas shopping, I picked up a "Too Faced" eye pallette and put it in the shopping bags that are available at the front of the store for customers use. I had about $500 worth of items in that bag, but all of the sudden, the security beeper started making 1 long tone! I lifted it up and was looking for assistance from one of the employees ,when one of the assistant managers, grabbed it out of my hands and said that "she would be holding it at the front if I wanted to purchase it!" Now, mind you I had heard that beeper go crazy about five times with other customers in the 35 mins that I had been there! I heard one female employee explain to a different customer, that they had been having constant problems with them! They would reset the security beeper and hand it back to the customer. So, why this one employee treated me so rudely,I have no idea. I don't think that kind of treatment to your customers is correct for any reason. That aside, these girl's here are not up with current trends, and don't know how to help customers choose appropriate colors and products for their skin. They basically do one look, their own, and try to make it work on everyone! This location really needs to step it up on in store education and try to retain employees that really work hard and aspire to build their careers in the industry. As for me, I've started making the drive to the ULTA over near Westgate. It's worth the extra drive time. I've also been shopping more at Sephora as well. It's unfortunate, because this ULTA was right on my way home from work. Oh well.
