Love this place! The staff is very friendly and the salon has a very relaxed and clean feeling! I like to get an asymmetrical haircut and Iâ€™ve been to many hair stylists... Araceli is hands down the best! She listens to what I have in mind and takes her time to make sure Iâ€™m happy with hair cut! Iâ€™ve also gotten my hair colored purple here before and she did a beautiful job. The price is better than fair for cuts and coloring and I would highly recommend this hair salon to anyone. This place has given me the least expensive and best hair cuts Iâ€™ve ever had.

I have my hair cut by the owner, Araceli Aguilar. Sheâ€™s fantastic. I always wait until the last minute to call for an appointment, but she never fails to work me in on the day and time I ask for. The people she employs are very friendly and respectful and always try to remember your name. They also play great music. Thereâ€™s lots of smiles all around! Give them a try. I also find their prices to be very reasonable.

THIS SALON IS A HIDDEN JEWEL!!! I am thrilled to have found 'my salon'. Beautiful dark brunette color with a lot of low lights, looks so natural and beautiful. Haircut is perfect. Service is excellent. There are no snobs here. Araceli (she said, 'just call me Shelly') Aguilar owns salon. She 'did' my colors, cut & style. I was desperate to find a salon to 'fix' my hair. I was a walk-in on a Monday about 2:30 pm. ANOTHER HUGE PLUS, salon open until 7 pm. I was received happily. Araceli spent a lot of time consulting on colors, cut & style. We went outside to see color samples in sun light. My hair looks beautiful. I made arrangements to have Araceli 'do' my hair every week and color about every three (3) weeks. I have never made standing appointments with any salon. Do not make the mistake of judging the store front look or interior decor. It does not have the look of the 'fancy, trendy, she-she, new age, minimalist, spa' salons. I have had some of the worst color and cuts from the 'fancy' salons. DO NOT JUDGE THIS BOOK BY IT'S COVER!! The service, attitudes and results exceed any salon I have patronized. I spend several thousand dollars a year on my hair. Araceli Aguilar and Vanguard Salon are my stylist and salon now!

My first visit here at Vanguard. I was seen quickly and customer service was great. I had my haircut by Araceli and I love it! I will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend this place.
