Ask stylist to lighten previously colored hair (brown). She showed me color swatches. I selected a dark blonde. When I got home in my bathroom lighting, I noticed that my hair did not lighten. If anything it became darker. Contacted another salon. A lighter color WILL NOT lighten or lift previously colored hair. I was told that the hair needs to be stripped of the original color and then re-colored before the new color will take/lighten. I called the stylist the following day and communicated the issue Stylist said the color needed to be stripped, then recolored (DUH!). This WAS NOT mentioned BEFORE my initial request to lighten my hair. Said we could do it the next time I came in for a cut. Did not offer to fix the problem immediately - did not offer refund or credit. Will not return. Money wasted. Poor communication - No accountability.
