I had an appointment with Jacque. Overall, she did what I wanted with my hair - which was great. However, I give her 1 star because she lied.
I booked my appointment online over the weekend. I received a text saying that the Jacque would review my appointment request and text me with a confirmation. Monday morning, I received a confirmation text saying that my appointment was accepted. On Tuesday morning, the day of the appointment, I received a call from Jacque asking saying that her boss had accepted my request without checking with her and that she had a double booking for the night. She asked if I could come in sooner, but that 4:30 was the latest that she could cut my hair. I said that I would have to request that I leave work early, but that it would probably be okay. She emphasized that she had free time in the afternoon, so the sooner I could come in, the better. Fast forward to the time that I was at the salon. I rushed to make it by 4:30, then Jacque washed, cut, and styled my hair. In the middle of my styling, another stylist asked if it was okay if she left early. My stylist said that it was okay, and I could her her mouthing / whispering something behind my back - it sounded like she said, "I'm leaving soon too." I left shortly after that and noticed that the closed sign was out when I was leaving. As I was sitting in my car getting some things organized, I saw my stylist going out to her car, leaving. There was no double booking and no other clients.
Honestly, if someone calls and tells me that they don't have a lot of clients in the afternoon and they want to leave early, I am very understanding. I would have totally rescheduled for a different night that she had more clients in the afternoon to fill her day. But the unnecessary lying shows a lack of professionalism and integrity. Although I like how my hair turned out, I will not support a business or stylist that acts in this manner. I will not be returning to this salon.
