Michelle and her team are fabulous! My sister had a wedding and they came onsite to do all of our hair and makeup. They were all lovely and we had some great laughs! I would highly recommend for both hair and makeup! Thank you for making all of us look great for my sisters big day!

I recently had my hair done it was by far the worst hair coloring and cutting experience I've ever had the styles was nice enough but complained that she didn't have enough time to finish my hair more then once. When i had booked in for a cut and a color I talked to the receptionist and made sure to say I had thick hair my hair was a natural dark brown with about a inch or two of light brown color on the ends and I was repetitively told that it would not lighten to blonde although that was not what I was asking for I wanted a Carmel ombre and eneded up with highlights that looked almost like my hair had been lightly frosted. I was had booked to get my hair done in one day but the hair dresser didn't have enough time and I had to come back the next day to get it cut. When I talked to the manager about my disappointment in how my hair turned out it was a hustle and unprofessional. I had my two children with me and my daughter acutally stepped in and made a point to talked before the managers tone changed. I felt very uncomfortable and was told that she would " talk with the girls " and see what they could do to fix my hair. Its been a week and I haven't heard anything back from the salon and am assuming I won't. As a active member of my community I am very sad to say I would never recommend lokel to any one.

I arrived at Lokel during my 5th month as a color free first time client. I had 4+ inches of new salt and pepper regrowth. However, my new growth against the hues of my faded reds and browns were unappealing which caused me to wear hats everywhere. I desperately needed a change. I booked an appointment with Ashley Storgaard, Sr. Stylist. Ashley was absolutely AMAZING! She listened to my concerns and offered professional and her personal advice. The hues of faded reds and browns are now gone! The changes are subtle and noticeable. My hair looks and feels healthy and beautiful! What a wonderful difference! I highly recommend Lokel as your salon, and Ashley Storgaard as your stylist. The entire staff are talented, enthusiastic, easy going, and make you feel at home. You can't go wrong with anyone at Lokel. By the way, I'm visiting Nelson, BC for the first time. Lokel was recommended to me by a beautiful young local woman with a rocking hair style and vibrant color. I will visit this salon each time I visit Nelson! You should too!
