read the reviews and got my hair cut for the first time here a couple weeks ago... great environment, and knowledgeable staff. styled my hair wonderfully after the cut but I am now realizing I paid quite a lot for nothing... have split ends still and just had to trim my own bangs because they barely touched them. unfortunate because i was really looking forward to trying this place out.

I have my hair cut, coloured and styled every 6/8 weeks. As my regular stylist from another salon was on maternity leave I decided to give Karma a try. OMG! What a nightmare. I cried and cried. My highlights/bleach bled 2' into the darker shade, and my hair broke inches from the roots (before walking into the salon my hair was half way down my back.) To make matters worse the stylist responsible for this abomination was the owner; had she not been pregnant I would have sued as it cost me over $200 to have a colour correction and cut at a reputable salon. I am convinced the other reviews are by the salon owner's friends or family. God Awful Place, don't waste your money.

I'm in Coquitlam and I still go all the way to Karma in North Van to get my hair done. They are so fun and funky. Awesome!
