$2147.50 for the worst hair in my life

My shoulder length hair was done by owner Angela of Staerk hair. $2147.50! I can't tell you how many times since having Angela do my hair I looked in the mirror & fought tears over the awful unblended color chunks as they faded in a number of days revealing the unsavory, unasked for colors that predominated her "custom mixed colors" and the price tied to those results. she gave me one free 50% fix ie: she didn't go over all the color again, but when it did the exact same thing though I followed all her directions including spending $200 on "aftercare" she told me she'll have to charge to continue to fix her mistakes & that she doesn't believe in the elumen lock & still wouldn't be using it though is a mandatory step via manufacturer! Lock=final step, locks in color..no rapid fading as I endured (3x) I expressed how unhappy I was with her lack of blending and uneven patches of my hair she had no desire to fix or prove her self proclaimed master colorist title. Blocked me instead.

When I moved from Toronto to Victoria I was worried that I wouldnâ€™t find a top-notch colourist. I read great reviews about Angela so I gave her a try. She proved to be the best colourist Iâ€™ve ever had and Iâ€™ve been colouring my hair for nearly 30 years. She is truly an artist and a lot of fun. Angela, Paul and Jessie have created a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Staerk was recently named best salon on Vancouver Island ....well-deserved.

I never plan my hair cuts/dyes. So I came in to see Paul on a whim. I am trying to grow out my hair. He recommended balayage (never tried it before). I am so happy with the outcome! He also achieved a level of ash tone I never could get on my own. He also dispelled a lot of at home/salon hair care tips. And apart from the professional hair colour and cut, the hospitality I felt made me feel really comfortable in the salon.

This place is a hidden gem; gaurunteed a good haircut. Great team of stylists, doesn't matter who you get. *Rumor also has it that they were ranked in the top 10 for hair salons in the province!
