Im going to give this shop a 1 rating not because of the work but because of the owner's unprofessional demeanor of dealing with conflict. I must say the first time I got my hair braided there was by a worker, she did a.nice job, I was out at a reasonable time, no problems. The second visit my hair was done by the owner who has a very putting off attitude. She said she told me on the phone that I had to pay extra (pay per bag for hair the shop used) I was not familiar with braid shops charging you $175 for bobbed braids and then extra for hair, who does that? While she was braiding my hair she called out every bag of hair she used and I asked her if I had to pay for the hair, like I said I'm not used to being charged for bags of hair used when your are already starting at $175. At the end Jackie argued with me about how she told me before, I was like okay I have cash but will have to put the hair used amount on my credit card. She was like okay, just next time you have to pay for the hair. I am not one for arguments or for long drawn out disputes but Jackie just would not let the bone loose. I go there today to get a touch up and here she goes again with telling me about the price of the hair not being included I explain to her how now I understand how she works, and once again she will not let it go, like I said I'm not one for huge arguments, I just want to get my hair done and go about my busy day. At one point I told her how rude and nasty she was being to me as a client, yes Jackie, your are dealing with a paying customer. She gets so mad that she refuses to do my touch up; she got real emotional/unprofessional.

Got my Daughter and my hair braided on good Friday in cornrows which I had a hard time explaining I just wanted the thin to med braid cornrows but she was like 200.00 for them I was like just to be braided back so anyway I just told her to give us regularly cornrows. That I was charged 50.00 for the Plaines crows I ever had reminded you the only English speaking lady (Jackie) after she told the young lady how to braid our hair so when she was done I had a hard time explaining too her that my braids was to far apart and made me look balled and I have a head full of hair she didn't know what I was saying she kept saying 50. She knew that very well so I paid her so it wouldn't exculat and went on about my business so by Easter Sunday the front of my daughter and my hair came up I couldn't believe it two to three braids from the top so I called that Monday to come plain Jackie tells me it's been a week what do I expect I was like a it's been only 2 days she like she's booked till Thursday come in then I like nevermind I will NEVER BE BACK

TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!! With getting my Senegalese Braids Removed. I left this braid shop with my hair still tangled in knots and scalp hurting! The braider took my braids out without detangling my hair. Then proceeded to comb through my dry hair without using ANYTHING to soften my hair to get out the knots. I had to tell her to stop and detangle the knot first BEFORE combing my hair!!! ALSO, I was overcharged for this process! I spoke to the owner over the phone, before I came in. SHE told me it will cost $55.00 with out shampoo. Then when I got ready to payee now the price changed to $65.00. Lastly the owner was braiding a young lady hair between the ages of 10 - 12 and watching The Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion!!! TOTALLY inappropriate for kids!!! ESPECIALLY the sexual content of the show!! She continued to watch the show without any concern that this young girl was sitting in her chair. I wrote this review to let anyone who's thinking about coming to this shop to think again. Their not TRUE professionals!!!! Response to owner: I have no reason to lie about ANYTHING. Am not a liar and I dont need to bad mouth a business. This is my truth and experience whether you want to knowledge it or not.

Jaklin is the only person I let braid my hair. Not only is the shop clean but the stylist are all friendly. Jaklin always respond as quickly as possible. Her braids are always nice and neat. And I love that she doesn't keep you waiting for long even though I wouldn't mind sitting in the shop the atmosphere is awesome. If anyone is looking for a new style rather it's box braids to Ghana braids, I highly recommend the ladies that work there.
