I didn't have high expectations for many barber shops across Calgary; it was just the typical small talk, cut, pay and go. However, once I stopped by Etch on a friend's recommentation, my world was changed. With hairdressers like Bernie, the professional and well-mannered attitude of the staff along with the delivery of consistently clean and crisp cuts, Etch has become my go to hair salon whenever I'm in need of anything from a quick trim to highly stylized requests. Strongly recommended.

I really cannot be more thrilled with my haircut. Kiyoshi understands how to cut hair to enhance your face shape. Thank you so much Kiyoshi. I highly recommend Etch salon and won't be going anywhere else.

I had an excellent experience at Etch this past Saturday with Rosie; I would recommend her to anyone looking for a new hair stylist. I have been having bad experiences at hair salons for the past couple of years, so I was pleasantly surprised this time around, Rosie took great care of my hair, and it now looks way healthier than it has in a while. Additionally, I have really thin hair and I find it quite hard to style. Usually when I get my hair curled at salons it looks terrible, but she worked magic on my hair; I've never seen my hair look that nice with loose curls and she gave me some tips to try out at home to help frame my hair and add volume. Overall, the salon was clean and well kept, Rosie was very professional and kind, the price was around average (may a little bit higher) of what I normally pay; I'll definitely be heading back here again.

Cut was, as the result, suit me well but that was not the style that l asked and discussed with the stylist with picture. We agreed with short bob style, then ended up with just short hair with asymmetry. Not sure what made her cut that way and recently one of my friends had same experience and her hair cut and my hair cut looked almost same. Well, good thing is it suits me for now...

One of few places in Calgary that knows how to properly cut and style Asian hair. The staff are all experienced and friendly. Always a great every time I visit!
