I went to the Curly Hair Institute for the first time yesterday and it was a breath of fresh air. Shada did an amazing job assessing my hair and it's needs. I walked home feeling well- coiffed and stylish. Shada was lovely and courteous. The vibe at the salon was relaxing and professional, yet chill. I will definitely return👍😊✂️

Horrible. I came here a year ago and the service was great. The hair stylist washed, styled, and dried my hair, giving it fantastic layers and volume. A year later, I made an appointment with the same hair stylist and walked into a salon that was overcrowded with the stylists being overworked. Employees were running around everywhere and each stylist was working on 2-3 people at one time! To save time and money, they let other workers (which were NOT hair stylists) wash and dry my hair. The hair stylist only spent about 15 minutes with me and gave me an ATROCIOUS haircut. It looks like two choppy layers (one short and one long) and she rushed me out with hair that was still wet. I paid the same price as last year and got significantly worse service. Never go here!!! They are trying to cut corners and their quality is going downhill!!!

Amazing salon for curly hair. 200% recommend for all curly hair types. My experience has been nothing short of amazing! Learned new tips for styling my hair and how to best use the products (which you don’t get the stores that just sell the products - not even close). Try it, you won’t regret it!

My stylist was Nicky and she was great. It was my my first time visiting this salon and the place was clean and bright. My stylist was very helpful in teaching me tricks on how to style my curly hair. The price was reasonable and surprisingly cheaper than other curly hair salons. It's very accessible too - 8-min walk from the subway.

No matter which stylist I see, my hair always looks and feels good when I come here for a cut. The cost is pricey, especially with no junior stylists on staff, but its a good cut for curls. The salon is also still very mask-friendly, with everyone wearing masks inside. This is important to me and made me feel more comfortable, which is even better.

Jonathan Torch Curly Hair Institute is the absolute best place to go if you have curly hair! All of the stylists are incredible, and you can always trust that you are in great hands, and that you will love your hair after your cut and style! Jonathan is amazing, he is so knowledgeable, talented, kind, and passionate about his work:) I would highly highly recommend Jonathan Torch Curly Hair Institute to all curly folks out there! Not only are they wonder hairdressers, but Jonathan also makes the absolute best products for curly hair, such as Curl Keeper. I have used Curl Keeper for years and since finding it, I have never had to look for another hair product again to help manage my curls and help them look their best. Curl Keeper is water-based, so it doesn't cause build up, and it helps create defined curls without the frizz. There are other amazing products too such as the brushes, slip detangler, and many other others! The hair salon is beautiful and everyone is so welcoming. The prices are very fair for the amazing services that they offer. So so happy to be able to go to Jonathan Torch Curly Hair Institute; a very big and warm thank you:)
