I tried to do a perm. The service in general was ok, but the style is not exactly what I wanted which is disappointing. But the most disappointing is the hidden fee and in-transparency. When I called, they told me the fee for perm is around $150... but when I paid, it jumped to $220, and my hair wasn’t that long (see pictures), I’m not sure how that little extra length made the price jumped 47% more, and they didn’t explain how they made the extra charge. It seems the owner just decides without a standard. Even more absurd is they added a $35 for blowing my hair??? My hair wasn’t even dried when it finished and it’s way shorter than 20 minutes. Plus, no salon that I went in montreal charged me for blowing hairs. And I also don’t like the fact that the owner tried very hard to sell unnecessary products, which made me very uncomfortable. All above doesn’t even count that they pushed my appointment for 3 hours later and I waited for an hour on-site, but still needed to reschedule for another day. I thought it’s okay but turns out my understanding doesn’t give back a nice experience. Anyway, the staff was friendly, I still gave tips. But this is a quite disappointing experience, I won’t go back and wouldn’t recommend to any of my friends.

I got my balayage hair color done today and i loved it!! It’s a little lighter than i expected but the hairdressers know what they’re doing when it comes to finding the right shades! I definitely recommend this salon! And graçias to Yibram for doing such an amazing job!

My experience at LaCoupe Salon was beyond my expectations! I’ve had my color, cut, hairstyling and makeup done at this salon and it really is a one stop shop with quality service. The staff works so well together and functions as one cohesive unit! I would definitely recommend :)

They are respectful of all procedures to keep you safe & make every effort possible to allow you to enjoy your experience. I guarantee you will leave La Coupe feeling rejuvenated with new self confidence. Also for those looking to pursue a career in this business. ‘La Coupe’ remains a prestigious salon it would be an invaluable experience… just saying!! ⬇️ Written years ago: I look forward to going to La Coupe my stylist is the best precision cutter ever and so many people over the years have complimented me on my cut. The Salon is spacious, pleasantly decorated and very well managed.

Exceptional service! I am from out of town & travel to Montreal often. I make sure I make my appointment before I arrive as I will not go anywhere else. Catherine the owner is really lovely to deal with and she goes out of her way to accommodate my schedule. Long after my colour, highlights and haircut I receive compliments. I can honestly say they do a fantastic job, probably the best highlights & cut I have every had. It looks so natural and they give great advice on treatments and haircut options. Would highly recommend La Coupe and will definitely continue to go back. Thanks again Catherine!
