I had a terrible experience going for blond highlights; with my base colour turning orange. I have 20 years of experience doing blond colour/highlights and i certainly have appropriate expectations.
The highlights where well done, but the toner type and technique turned my naturally ash base bright orange. It looked great (ash) right after, but after a few washed the orange unfolded. I didn’t appreciate Rebecca’s attempt to justify saying my hair was fine and not in good condition. While I agree that it was already bleached 1 year and damaged at the ends, my roots where not coloured/virgin ash hair. So please explain how my virgin roots were at fault and turned orange aswell. In addition, when she was doing my toner, she was discussing a case with her collegues when a toner turned a client’s base orange due to a toner containing ammonia. Clearly it happened before.
While a got a response when I initially contacted Rebecca, she didn't follow up and ignored my last text message. I recommend blonds avoid this salon.
EDIT: just to add to my review that since my experience in 2021 I have spoken to many professional in high end salons in Montreal about this experience and it was explained to me that that colorist used a permanent colour instead of a tonner and that is why my hair turned permanently orange. Neither Rebecca or the owner ever responded and reached out to me since my last attempt to communicate. I was robbed of 260$ and left with horrible hair that I had to wait years to fix. I wouldn’t trust this salon.
