While on vacation i got a haircut here, not expecting much, except trimming split ends. My hair has lost it's curl for a long time. My stylist was Donita and she had good reviews. In minutes she knew how to cut my hair and my curls were back !!! She is awesome and I highly recommend her!! I can't thank her enough!

I used this salon about 2 years ago. I only wanted a wash and blow out. We were camping at the state park and I didn’t want to wash my hair so I went here. Never again! The little guy that washed and dried my hair and the hair brush he was using was nothing less than painful! Never had this experience before. I think he was newly out of school. I didn’t say anything to him but to say I left in a hurry is putting it mildly.

Annie Blackmon was my stylist! She is fantastic! She is very versatile in her styling, but she has a special touch in African American hair! And, she does a great job on short hair! Annie is very personable and can tell all about the Gulf Shores area to include tell you about the local restaurants!

The stylist destroyed my hair. The color was sooooooo bad. It was blotchy and the texture of my hair was annihilated. She scrunched the foils instead of leaving them flat, which left my naturally straight hair looking like I had a bad perm from 1985 and also caused blotchy uneven bleaching. I'm still dealing with this nightmare 2 years later. NEVER AGAIN! When I contacted the YellowHammer (who owns Smart Style in Alabama) they offered to let me come back to let her fix it... as if that was going to happen.
