Not Good Experience

I scheduled an 8 am appointment for a men's haircut and when I arrived, the stylist had double booked a color touchup. She seemed surprised that I was there and asked me what I was there for. I told her that I had an appointment for a haircut. Evidently she didn't record my appointment. I wast told to sit down and she went back to talking to the other customer. After 15 minutes and not a word spoken about when I would get my haircut, I decided to leave. I understand that things happen and appointments get missed / not recorded, but at least apologize for it, let the person know how long it will be and let them make a decision to stay or reschedule. The reviews that I've read about this salon were what brought me to make an appointment in the first place, but my experience will keep me from making another.

Shell Mitchell is AMAZING! My husband and I are from Wisconsin and after being in Gulf Shores since mid-December we were badly in need of haircuts! We didn’t know where to go, but couldn’t wait until we’d return home. Today we were having our fur babies groomed at Sandy Paws (in the same strip mall). I saw the sign that Mane Stop Hair Salon welcomed Walk Ins. So. . . I checked on the Google reviews and decided this must be some kind of a Godsend! While the puppies got groomed, we went to Mane Stop Hair Salon. Shell was so skilled in her profession. We’re both so satisfied with our haircuts. Next year when we return for the winter, we will definitely return to Shell for our haircare needs.

Shell Mitchell was great. She was a good listener and wanted to be sure my husband and I were comfortable with getting our hair cuts with her for the first time. We will be back. I am picky and she knew what she was doing. Thank you Shell!!!

I chose Shell Mitchell based on her Google reviews since I know no one in Orange Beach. I'm so lucky because she took my thick Yankee hair and we worked together to get it ready for living in the humid South. She does excellent razor cutting and helpful hair counseling as she cuts and styles. Thank you, Shell!

Walked into the salon today needing a haircut desperately and Shell worked me in and cut my hair like she’d been doing it for years! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend this shop and Shell Mitchell!
