I am new to the Prescott area and had the misfortune of booking an appointment with Debbie, the owner of the Larry Thomas Salon. I was recommended by a realtor who, after she saw my hair, told me she'd never been there and would never recommend it again. DO NOT GO THERE! My hair is very fine and recovering from several surgeries, so I had my stylist in Denver write out the formula, thinking that anyone in the business would be able to figure it out. All I required was a root touch up since I have a lot of gray. Obviously, Debbie has no idea about color or style or types of hair. When I left the salon, I couldn't get a comb through my hair, my clothes were wet from her rinsing me out and the color of my roots was a joke. When I got home I had to re wash my hair since, when she was blow drying, she kept spraying something on my roots. I thought it was a conditioner. In all my years of root touch up, I've never experienced anything like this. I called that day to ask what in the world she used on my hair but she was 'out' so I left a message for her to call. She didn't call. When I finally talked to her I asked what she used on my hair and she said it was a 'volume' product. It was sticky and stiff and there is no way you'd go out in public after her 'volume' product was used on your hair. I looked like I'd stuck my finger in a light socket. Also, the entire time she was pushing her line of hair products and how great they were. Ya, right!. So, if you take the time to read this review it will be worth your while. DON'T GO THERE! As a special gift to Debbie, I would like to offer to do HER hair. I'd like her to experience lousy color that washes out in a week, wet clothes and MY special 'volume' product. Debbie needs to go back into the restaurant business, because a stylist she is NOT.
