I have been seeing Kim Alcala at Salon 105 for over 12 years, and I am a fan for life. She has given my slightly-wavy hair, long, beautifully layered cuts, shags, spiky Joan Jetts (with “aggressive texturing”); and she’s skillfully colored and brightened my otherwise drab grays (plus, she’s not judgmental when I do it myself!). My two girls have rocked punky spikes with side and back fades, pixies, and beautiful bobs; and she’s brought out my husband’s lustrous curls (to my specifications thank you very much). What’s more, Kim is a delightful, engaging person who loves her work. You can enjoy an interesting conversation with her, or you can read your newspaper in silence while she does her magic. Whatever your mood, you will leave her salon more relaxed and fresher than when you arrived.
