This is a new salon on the Mesa and aside from its clean and modern appearance I would not recommend this place to anyone! They are VERY unprofessional. We took our 10 yr old son in for a specific cut and came out with the worst hair cut ever! The stylist "Sabrina" was having a hard time and instead of asking for help right away she kept cutting until there was not enough hair to fix! Another stylist came over to help despite his best attempt... it got worse! I told her that she needed to fix it even if that meant shaving my son's hair completely!! THEN the owner tried to step in and help but it was WAY TOO LATE. We were there for 45 mins and I can't believe they charged us and did not even bother to offer a "sorry!" This is NOT the place for you if you are looking for a great cut or pleasant environment! Pay a little extra for JANICE or anyone across the street at Mira Bella!

My family and I all have wavy hair that is very difficult to cut and actually look good. I've had long hair my whole life for fear of not being able to wear a short cut-but low and behold when I came in and had Samantha cut my hair all off (for locks of love) I was extremely pleased and surprised with the aftermath. They know what they're doing and have yet to botch of our cuts.

Looking for a great cut, color, and style? You've found it. Hair Select has an awesome philosophy, "Give Santa Barbara quality service at an affordable price" and they deliver every last bit in a family atmosphere. I recently read a negative opinion left on this site and I can't tell you how absolutely wrong it is. HAIR SELECT IS GREAT! I first stepped into the Salon one year ago. True, I was a little weary because I've been to some very pricey upscale salons that charge an arm and a leg and this place had neither the high prices nor the stuffy environment. I wondered, "Is this place for me?" I had my brows done that day and have never regretted taking the risk. Not only are the services offered (mostly) a la carte so that I never get anything I didn't order but the staff bends over backwards to be sure that I am pleased before I walk out. I can't imagine anyone would be displeased with that! Now, I refer all of my friends and family. I get my color and cut done there, and I have NEVER been disappointed. I can call ahead and set an appointment with the owner, Rosa Regalado, or walk in and wait. The staff is friendly and personable and the prices are reasonable. PLUS, my son can get a cut and play the video games while I get a little pampering too. They service my entire family including my choosy husband. Who could ask for more? I highly recommend this salon.
