He is very nice. Just make sure that you share his taste in hair styles. Don't assume you know his tastes and don't assume his tastes match your desires, based on superficial things. Don't look at the pics on the walls and think he cuts like that. Just make sure he aligns with your tastes!! If anything you'll have a nice time with him.

Philip butchered my hair. I just went in for a trim. He talked me into cutting off 3 inches, which was fine. Several times during the haircut he mentioned that he had a guarantee on all hair sevices, because even hairstylist have an off day. I thought his comments were odd. (He does not stand by his guarantee and refused to refund my money.) My hair was down past the middle of my back yesterday. I now have some hair at the crown only 4 inches long, major gaps, and definitely no blending. A child could have done a better job with safety scissors. He didn't want to straighten it after my cut, but allow it to air dry for the expensive conditioning treatment to work. Once I straightened it at home the following morning, I realized that he had completely chopped up my hair. When I messaged him regarding my bad hair-cut with a photo. His response was "Amen, when will you be back in town?". Really? He completely butchered my hair, and he wanted to make a joke of it! He also made numerous excuses for his lack of talent. Also... My daughter had hair removal on her face. She explained to Philip that she had sensitive skin. He said that waxing would help, and it would also get rid of acne. When he pulled some of the wax off, and she bled, Philip told her that bleeding was good because it was killing the hair folicles. She now has a terrible case of sore and painful bumps where Philip waxed. He never put anything on her face to prevent the painful bumps or to soothe her extremely red face after he waxed her. She has been on benedryl since we left his studio. You would be better off having salon services performed in a discount store. ***He also butchered my daughter's hair as well. ***The photo in the blue shirt was my before photo from ten days ago. HE ONLY TOOK AN HOUR TO CUT MY MOM'S HAIR, MY HAIR, WAX MOST OF MY FACE AND WAX HER. AND IT WAS BAD! It was a bad cut for both my mom and I. As well he gave me a wax under my face that I now regret. I have PCOS and tend to grow a lot of hair on the underside of my face so I asked him to wax it. I explained that my skin extremely sensitive and that's why I didn't use chemicals like nair on my face. He told me not to worry and that this would help slowly thin it out. He talked that was he didn't use products like nair either because the last time he did he burned his nipples and went into gross detail about! He took less than 10 minutes on my face when waxing, when it bled he said "No worries, that just kills the hair follicles." {Which by the way is a false statement} and he was bouncing between washing my mom's hair then waxing my face! He did not put anything on my face afterwards and told me just to peel any wax left on my face off! Now my face has broke out into bumbs that are sore and are irritable. He then took mom to sit in the chair, then began to wash my hair, he bounced between us then left me sitting as he cut mom's hair. My mom has extremely curly and thick hair, he never straightened or dried it to cut it. He said it was best to let it air dry and I never heard anyone we went to before say that. He cut it then took a call while he was cutting hers. When she straightens her hair now it looks uneven and choppy. He then took me into the chair, began to cut on my hair then took a another long phone call in the middle of my hair while wet and starting to dry! My hair is wavy so it doesn't stay straight as it dries it, curls up. He took less than few minutes afterwards to cut my hair and now it's also uneven.. We told him about it and his responses were extremely unprofessional. As well as came off very rude. He even began to blame us for his mistakes! My face hurts still and it's been a few days. I've been on benadryl since. Just saying I'd never go to his salon again.

This man should not own his own salon, I asked for platinum hair and he didnâ€™t even have the common sense to put a toner on it and left it yellow. Then I told him privately because I felt bad about posting a bad review, he said he was very sorry and offered a refund, he gave me $27 out of $120 and when I asked him about it, he tricked me into giving it back by lying that he would send more but it had to be one transaction for the books. And all of this he NEVER offered to fix the color. He intentionally tricked me, when I gave him my trust, there is no excuse for this, do not put any faith in this â€œmanâ€

I love Philip! He always knows what he's doing and is a great person to talk to. If you are uncertain of what you want, let him surprise you or bring pictures for reference. Always funny, patient, kind and professional. Be sure to leave Philip a tip and schedule in advanced, he gets really busy at times.
