Jason is a true professional. He really knows his trade and does impressive work. I told him what I wanted, a cut that is seemingly simple, but for some reason, my thick hair and round head has dumbfounded many a barber. Jason basically "took care of it", like a duck in water. The shop is so nice and the prices are fair. The atmosphere is very relaxed and fun, but everyone is working hard. I love the haircut and the experience. Will definitely come back.

Clean. Professional. And very reasonably priced. You will get a NYC quality hair cut and style for half the price. Not to mention the salon is super cool with unique decor. Reminds me of a little Brooklyn NY salon placed in New Haven. High recommend it!

Recommended to me by a friend, and so glad I took his advice. Clean, quirky spot with fun, down-to-earth staff. If you're looking for a frilly salon this ain't your spot. Eva did a great job with my taper fade. Farther from downtown than the Y or Phil's, but it's a better experience and, frankly, the haircut is better, too.

Jason and co. are absolutely amazing. I am hard pressed to find a better barber or a cooler environment than that at Skull and Combs. Friendly, accommodating, professional, and relaxing. Not only do I frequent Skull and Combs, but my girlfriend does as well. I/we cannot say enough good things. Go there. You will not be disappointed.

I went with my husband to get his haircut here this weekend, and after going to so many barber shops/salons and feeling so uncomfortable waiting for him while he cut his hair, especially with a baby, i must say this was the best experience I've had. Nice environment and staff & a comfy couch😁!!! My hubby was very satisfied with his cut and i didn't mind the wait at all! Thanks!!!
