I purchased Groupons for my mother in law and I for All about Me Hair Salon simply for the sake of us trying a new place to get our manicures and pedicures done. I purchased them in July and after four months of refused walk ins (which they advertise they accept) and flippant employees answering the phone (sometimes) I was able to schedule appointments for us to come in. We arrived for our appointments and upon entrance the woman at the front desk looks at me as if I have six heads. Am I that hideous that a “professional†can’t keep their contorted expressions of disgust about my appearance to themself? I’m going to a salon to improve what I choose to improve not be silently ostracized by someone who was barely put together. We are taken back to where the manicures and pedicures are done. The nail techs were very nice and tried their best to be communicative and accommodating (which i appreciated greatly) what we were both dissatisfied with was that they seemed to lack confidence in their abilities causing the manicures/pedicures to fall below standard of what a typical spa manicure/pedicure is. Though I’m 100% positive that is due to the extremely limited space the girls are allotted. The other thing that was off putting- the hair stylists practically screaming swear words across the salon at each other. Now we are all adults we all swear but not at work (at least one tries to speak for the job they want) all in all it was a less than spa like experience and I will happily take my business elsewhere.
