The stylist Jasmine was very nice and her blowout on my hair was horrible and looked more like blue magic and a hot comb. When I expressed my dissatisfaction after seeing her blowout looked nothing like it usually does prior to flat ironing, she whispered something to Marilyn who then tried to step in to save the mess. She tried to convince me the reason for the blue magic mess was because of the oil that was in my hair prior to my arrival...but she shampooed, deep conditioned, and hood dried my hair prior to styling. At the end of it all, I was told by Marilyn the reason for the poor quality of work was because of my arrival time (of which she agreed to because I called prior to my arrival). My response to her was "the cost of service didn't change."
She also tried to tell me that I should have asked for a "Dominican blowout". I have never gone to a Dominican salon and asked for a "Dominican blowout". Usually the request for a blowout will suffice. Marilyn and Jasmine, you expect the same amount of money at 8am and 8pm therefore the quality of work should not change. In fact, if you would have handled things properly the first time you would have had a repeat customer and champion for your salon. Jasmine your tip would have shown my appreciation for the extra hour or so you put in. On a good note, as I sat, waited and watched there were a couple of heads that left with beautiful, bouncy hair by the hands of other stylist. Customer service 101 ladies...take the class.
