Booked a colour and cut with Marie. After she did the colour, a client came in without an appt. to get her extensions changed. Marie took her and basically pushed me off to a girl who had not even graduated from cosmetology school. She took 25 MINUTES to blow dry my short hair. I book with Marie because she has experience. Very unprofessional to hand me off. Didn't even get my hair cut because she was tied up with the other client. Then she charged me $70.00 for roots and a blow dry!! I have been a long time client but I definitely won't go back.Marie, learn how to conduct your business properly!!

Salon is nice and clean. However, haircut was not what I asked for. And the attitude was disappointing. Owner had quoted me a price the week prior then added $25 onto it at checkout. Maybe she has a memory issue (trying to give benefit of doubt), but that was unfair to a client. And she refused to correct the overcharge. I asked her to try to make the cut better and closer to what I had discussed with her that day and shown photos of. She scheduled me back, but (again!) at the same time as another customer and there was a long wait. And no apology. Then, she commented aloud how she was doing me an extra service because she is so busy. It was shocking that she would make such a remark (or even think that way). What about my time being valuable too?!?!! Let alone the inflated expense. Some of the salon staff were gossipy and they seemed to act as if they are the elite salon in town. Even the young intern girl washing my hair made a snide, rude remark. And this was after I had left her a generous cash tip on the prior visit. How unprofessional and ungrateful. I hear there are several better options in town that are consistently good, fair and respectful - without having to leave the local area.

My wedding this weekend was absolutely beautiful. I’m so grateful to Palm Island Resort and my makeup, photo, bakery and video vendors. I made one epic mistake. Shear sailing. I cannot express how incredibly disappointed I was with this entire experience. This was the most unprofessional encounter I have ever had with anyone in the service industry. I’ve been in several weddings and had my hair professionally done many times and never in my life have I been so dissatisfied. They showed up an hour late and had the gall to treat me with attitude and disrespect talking about not having enough outlets or “work conditions” (in a 5 star resort) Um. Hi. Don’t offer an on-site option and charge me $100 for a travel fee, show up late with no time to set up with not so much as an extension cord and then give me attitude. Even when they showed up with 4 people an hour late, I felt we might be ok but apparently none of them actually know how to do hair because they just jumped from head to head poking around trying to figure out what they were doing. At the end of the day, they stressed all of us out and were completely rude. Didn’t hold up their end of the bargain at all. I thought the mandatory 20% on $85 was very overpriced. Now I understand, no one would ever tip this terrible group of “professionals “. After they left 5 out of the 6 of us had to redo our hair. I was late to my own first look because these people didn’t know what the heck they were doing. If I could give 0 stars I would. Brides, whatever you do...keep looking. Anyone else, find another salon. Seriously.
