Having recently moved to the area from out of state, I was researching some local salons who could get me in on the weekend due to my heavy work week, so I made an appointment for the same day at this salon. I thought their website was nice and decided to give it a go. When I spoke to "Sarah" over the phone to schedule the appointment, I explained that I would like to get a cut and also I would like balayage coloring done to my red hair. She asked if I needed a root touch up also and I explained that my natural color is red but I do have a few greys I would like covered. She scheduled me for 5pm today. At around 4:45 I got a call back from Sarah stating that my stylist was running a bit behind and was finishing up with the client scheduled before me and asked if it would be ok if my stylist saw me at 5:15pm. Not a problem. I arrive at the salon at a few minutes before 5:15. When I walk in there is a client checking out at the desk and a lady checking her out behind the desk so I get into line behind her. The nail technician gets up and comes over to me to check on me and I tell her I have an appointment. She asks me if it is for a manicure and I tell her that I have a hair appointment. She walks over to the counter and tells the lady behind the desk that I have a hair appointment and the lady behind the desk nastily told the nail tech that she would be with me in a minute. I go sit down and wait for approximately 10 minutes and then the client that was checking out finishes up and leaves. So, I go back over to the desk and tell the lady my name and that I was there for an appointment, as there were no longer any clients standing at the desk. The lady behind the desk now snaps at me that she said she would be with me in minute. She finally comes out from behind the desk and asks what kind of surprise do you have under that hat, as I was wearing a baseball style cap and my hair was in 2 pig tail braids. I said it's just my hair and take my cap off and begin to start unbraiding my hair as I walk over to her station with her. I put my purse down and grab my phone to start showing her photos of what I would like my hair to be similar to. She interrupts me as I am telling her about a cut I had last year and asks me if I had even had my hair trimmed since my last haircut and I stated that yes I have had it trimmed but not cut since the last "cut" that I was describing to her that I wanted it cut similar to. She interrupts me again to tell me that they close at 7 and I will just have to come back tomorrow between 12 and 5 in order for her to have time to do my hair. I explained that when I spoke to Sarah over the phone I had told her what I wanted done and she scheduled me for 5pm and then called back to push it back 15 minutes because you were running late (which is not a problem for me) and then I have been waiting for 20 minutes (again not a problem) but now you can't see me? She calls Sarah over and then swings her head over to me as in expecting me to blame Sarah and Sarah starts fumbling for words because I believe she is so embarrassed as to how this stylist is treating me. At this point I am done and tell them that if I was aware I would have just scheduled with another salon and not wasted my time here. They again told me I could come back tomorrow but after having been put off today and then the lack of professionalism that this stylist showed me and her coworkers, as well as how nasty she was being, I certainly don't want to waste my time for her to screw my hair up. I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone, as long of these types of situations are ongoing.
