I went to this salon yesterday evening and the woman that did my hair put the relaxer on my edges first and then worked the relaxer in the middle of my hair. By the time, she started the middle my front edges was on fire. She sprayed hair spray to soothe the burning but it didn't help much. I told her it is burning and as I went to the wash bowl I said "I am not going to have any edges "!
Rommel instructed her on the wash and conditioning products to use for the burns of my edges.
I have had plenty of touch ups to know that you never start with the edges first. She burned my edges out and burned my skin. I have a small burn where my Brown skin is no longer there. It is noticeable. It is white. I am hoping my color will return. When she styled my hair she tried to cover up my edges. I went to the mirror and looked long and hard at my edges and took my hands and moved my hair back to show the chemical burn of my edges. My edges were tender to the touch. I showed Rommel who is the manager of the salon and he talked to me as if it no problem and the skin color will come back in 2 to 3 days. They both said that my edges are not burned out and that my edges are sensitive. That is not true! I know my hair!
I paid $75 for that terrible service. I knew I shouldn't have went to that salon in the first place when I say the rating of 3.1 next time I will listen to my gut feeling.
Visit on own RISK ! I AM NEVER GOING BACK TO THAT SALON!!!!
I went across the street to a beauty supply store near the Wal-Mart and purchased tea tree oil, vitamin E oil, and avocado oil to put on my edges and I purchased a wig. I will the wig until my hair grows back.
