I've been going to SmartStyle Hair Salon in the Ammon Idaho Walmart for a few years now and I've got to say it's one of the most professional places I've ever gotten my hair cut and styled in my life. The prices are great, the shop is always well stocked with hair product, and it always manages to be very clean somehow, in spite of the high volume of customers they have on a regular basis. Alex is by far one of the most amazing hair stylists who's ever cut a hair on my head, and I try to only see her if she's available. She's personable and professional, and manages to make my difficult head of hair look great every time. I've also seen her with children and have been amazed at how calm and safe she makes them feel. She's really the best. Jill is another stylist who is super nice and personable, who seems to care a lot about her customers needs. You definitely wouldn't be unhappy with her either. I've also talked with Karen about hair product, since I have a very sensitive scalp, and she's been ridiculously knowledgeable about what works with any type of hair or skin, especially if you color your hair (their hair coloring services also seem to be just as great as their styling, if you color your hair ask Alex about that too) Ashley seems to really take her time and seems to make sure the customers hair gets a lot of attention. Overall you really can't go wrong going to SmartStyle Hair Salon in the Ammon Idaho Walmart.

I went to get highlights, the stylist did the bare minimums. My hair is probably one shade lighter then my original hair color. When cutting it I asked for layers and to take the dead ends off she "trimmed" the back. There was so little hair that there was nothing on the floor. Did nothing to the front. When ot came time to take the foils off my head the water was ice cold. In the ice cold building. The stylist didn't let me check the color of blonde before removing foils. I think total process time was 15 in a cold as salon. With a stinky stylist who had body odor. The stylist was hungover from the night before and smelled like she had been at a bar and not showered.

Went in for some side style bangs and they ended up looking horrible. I had half the hair cut at one length close to my eyebrow and the other half was past my chin. I asked if she could blend it together more and she would raise her voice and get argumentative. I left and cried in my car. Alex has given me the worst service I have experienced from a salon and I'm about to the point of gelling the bangs back so my hair doesn't look horrible for work.

My three boys went in today to get their hair done and the customer service I received more than exceeded my expectations!! The manager was so kind. Carly was our hair stylist and she was so patient and did such a good job doing my boys hair with all the giggles and wiggles going on. I will be back. Thank you ladies.

Salon environment is fun and upbeat with skilled stylists. Salon manager Alex is professional as well as stylists Jill, Karen and Ashley! They enjoy their one on one time with their guests as well as visiting with all guests that visit their location!
