I have been coming here for haircuts for over a year. I have not been able to find a less expensive place to get a haircut. The students cut your hair, then an instructor looks over it and makes any fixes/changes. You give the students a chance to practice, you pay a low price, and I have always been very happy with the haircuts. I’m not sure about their women’s haircuts, but I can definitely speak for men’s.

I normally would not rate something so low because I understand there is a learning process involved and everyone needs to start somewhere.... well one of the TEACHERS worked on my hair the entire time and more than the student did. Well needless to say my hair was WAY over processed. It is still melting off as I type this. It feels like bubble gum, it is not the same color or even close to, the color is uneven, and my roots are colored when they were supposed to be left alone. Although they didn’t make me pay, that’s how bad it was, I have to literally cut my hair that is mid back to a pixie cut not an exaggeration. I now have to pay a ton of money for two deep condition treatments to salvage my hair, a coloring fee, and a cut fee. I feel that they should have AT LEAST offered to pay to have it fixed at a real salon especially since a teacher who is licensed is the one That did it. Please avoid having your hair colored here or at least bleached you’ll regret it. I wish I could post pics. It is horrific what they did to my hair

I was going to give Evans 4 stars, but realized I have nothing negative to say about it. It is an upbeat place that provides fast, friendly service. A basic haircut, given by students and supervised by professionals is $5. In a good location at the west edge of Rexburg, it is easy to spot from the street. Call ahead if you can. They are not open all day, every day. Some few times they are closed for instruction.

I've loved being able to attend school in an environment where the instructors are kind enough to tell each student and patron to drive safely and have a good night. A place where if something personal has come up they understand and try to the best of their ability to help in any way they may to better the situation for everyone. I've loved belonging to a school that o got the opportunity to see people come in and leave happier than when they came. I've loved going to a school where if you've asked a question everyone in the door, but you might know the answer to, but you still don't understand you aren't looked down upon for not knowing.

I've gone to Evans for ten years. I have really only had one bad experience there. But, they were professional and addressed the issue well. The staff is quite patient and friendly. I like that they take walk-ins. Also, for myself and my kids I am glad to know that there are multiple people watching out to make sure nothing goes wrong with the cutting and coloring. The best thing by far, though, is being able to get pampered without breaking the budget. They offer so many services, I am still planning on trying a lot more of what they offer. Also, I love that they have broad salon product knowledge and techniques...if you go to Paul Mitchell they seem to have much less knowledge about different techniques and I feel the cuts and colors just aren't great especially when the prices are higher. I don't live in Rexburg, anymore, but it's still worth the drive to me to go there.
