I had gotten two gift cards of over 200 dollars between the two for this place for Christmas from my boyfriend for myself and his niece. We had split up, so I used my gift card and got my hair done by this guy named Anthony( I believe that is his name, who did an amazing job on my highlights). I had mailed my ex's sister a gift card around Christmas and she never received it. I had taken a picture of it as I know it is Christmas time and I wanted to make sure she got it. Long story short, I called natural concepts and spoke to a worker named Courtney. I explained the story and gave her the numbers. She was very nice, told me the card had not been used. I asked her if she could replace it and my ex's sister could just come and get it. She said that was fine. I told her she may not be able to make it that day but could she possibly come within a couple days? ...She told me no worries, it would be at the front with her name on it.
I texted his sister and told her to go get it. I then a while later text her and asked if she received it and she did not respond. I was thinking that maybe her phone number was changed or something so I called Natural Concepts today. Upon Courtney answering, she stated that she had talked to the owner and on the website they are not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards. She never not once stated this in our previous 20 minute conversation. First off, she had already told me she would have it ready, despite what the owner said thereafter. This gift card was a Christmas present for a 9 year old. I'm sure she was heart broken knowing she could not get it as she was looking forward to it. Shame on you guys!
I know from working in Human Resources, if a worker falsely states something and then the manager or owner states otherwise, the worker learns from the mistake and you pretty much have to give the customer what was stated and take it for a loss. The crazy thing is, they were able to locate the card and seen it had not been used so they are just reissuing a card for something that was already paid for of $109.00. I can not believe it! Welcome to Peoria! I still can't believe I moved from Virginia back to this place. The hospitality is awful here. I would never recommend this to place to anyone under those circumstances of my experience with the customer service. I am not over this...
And the thing is, she is now stating that she had to speak to the owner, that was never stated from her to get approval to do a new card. I wish people would just own up to their mistakes. I mean we are only human.
