The following comments have to do with my visit to the Sassoon Academy recently. For the most part it was a good experience, I was assigned a hairdresser at the Academy who gave me a stylish haircut that's easy to take care of. He was experienced and had a pleasant personality. The only issue I had was with the way the back of my hair was cut and it had more to do with the teacher who was in charge of the class that I went to. My hair is naturally curly and when stylists cut my hair too short, especially in the back it gets really curly, I wear my hair straight. But other than that I was happy with the results. On another note I found out that Sassoon just got taken over by a company by the name of the Beautiful Group so I don't know if they'll have these FREE classes again at the academy next year. All I know is that they're going to be moving the salon to the West loop. I guess I'll just have to wait and see!

The only place I go to for haircuts and will let any stylist cut my hair. I've been going to them for years and I've never gotten a bad hair cut! That says it all.

Wheelchair accessible entrance. However there is no wash sink where a where a wheelchair can pull up to and tilt head into for washing. So wheelchair users need to skip the hair washing or transfer into the salons wash chair.
