Let me first start off by saying I went in there on Tuesday May 1st to get color on my hair and like a half inch trim for my birthday Friday. Before my color was put on I got about a half inch to an inch cut off of my hair my hair that is down to like my hip far past my chest super super long hair and that's when it's naturally wavy. I take incredibly good care of my hair from putting zero heat no blow drying no straightening nothing to the products and everything in between and have worked hard to get it so healthy and long. Tiffany uses Keune which is what I've always use other salons, not having my hair being damaged where has to be cut off. So I was sitting in the chair because you don't get put under heater and I did notice my head a little warm and the smell but I was not alarmed and my scalp didn't hurt at all. I think one way this could have been prevented is if she'd ever checked my foils but she had her feet on the desk telling me her ankles hurt or something and did not check my foils one time. When It was time to take the foils out about 10 inches of my hair had been completely fried. It was like the cotton candy hair where it's unsalvageable. She then told me that my hair needed to be cut off so now it's around shoulder length. When I went in there I wanted my hair colored and an inch cut off which is what she did before she put that color in that's why she only cut an inch and now I'm down to shoulder length hair that's going to take a year-and-a-half to grow back at least. The bottom of my hair is still fried in the back and very unhealthy now as opposed to my previously healthy hair but I didn't want a pixie cut so I had to have her stop cutting. It is also a very uneven cut which other people have commented being very short in the back and slightly longer in the front but even the front is uneven. The color is what I wanted for the most part and so because I got the color and because she is blaming the Fiasco on my medication which is birth control I took one extra that day because I do sometimes for specific reason, she won't give me my money back. So she thinks that she should charge me when I left there was damage fried hair that was 10 inches shorter than what I wanted. While she was cutting she was discussing how it was my medication that did this and birth control can make your hormones have chemical reactions to hair so at that point I felt like I was responsible also I was in massive shock. So I did pay because I'm a big girl and if it's my medications fault then she should be still paid for her services. It was not until I talked to my doctor, other hair stylists, pretty much everyone I know and I called Keune USA headquarters in Georgia found out that they've never heard of anything like this one extra pill wouldn't do this especially that morning right before I got my haircut but either way everybody said that there's no way it was my medication. Also when she was doing my hair we were discussing medications so had she either checked my foils, suspended services or done a strand test this could have been prevented, if there was a possibility it was my medication which it was not. And even if it was it's far more plausible that it was her fault because my hair was orange in the back the part that was fried as well and that's the part she did last and had to get a different mixture for and they had to put tons of toner on it and it for a few days ended up gray. Not only should Tiffany take responsibility because it wasn't my medication, just because she said it was. She doesn't want to take responsibility, there was no proof absolutely none that it was my medication but I do know that I went in there and told her my medication and she didn't seem to think it was a problem then and continued to color my hair and not check my foils and now I have a shoulder length haircut I hate. I have spent the first week which It was 8 days ago BAWLING including on my birthday because of what she did to my hair. Thanks for the worst hair experience of my life!
