Was waiting to see if color would improve before writing this review. I've had some bad hair color jobs in the past but never have I walked out of a salon looking worse than when I walked in. Went in for a blonde balyage a week ago. I only had one request... whatever color it comes out as, please make sure its a uniform look throughout and not patchy. Not only did I not end up with a balyage or even a uniform look, I ended up with scattered chunks of black, blonde and red hair and a straight band of copper across my head. She also fried my hair.
This is not the salon you go to for a balyage. My hair stylist was nice HOWEVER, she seemed very rushed to get to her next client 1/2 through our appt. She also didn't seem confident in conpleting the look I wanted even walking away mid wash and then I never saw her again. Maybe she realized she messed up on my hair..
Be weary of a salon who charges 1/2 the price of its competitors. Not to mention, I was given 1/3 of the time it usually takes for a balyage.
At least I got a nice hair cut which unfortunately doesn't cover up the bad dye job. Although when the woman who cut my hair asked me how I liked my color and I told her I wasn't happy, she said that the colorist did a better job than she could have which was not encouraging. I didn't expect her to fix it but that was an inappropriate response to a customer.
Made an appointment to get my hair color corrected at a different salon.
UPDATE:
Since I didn't have time to get my hair at another Portland salon before my summer trip, I ended up getting it done at Trianon in Chicago which totally did a miracle job on my hair! The hairstylist there was so nervous because of the state of my hair but at the same time he was so knowledgeable and willing to do whatever it took to save my hair. It looks amazing. I'm so grateful.
