Maria one of the owners seems to be a sweetheart. But unfortunately it seems they don't want any African-American stylist working in their salon. I have lived in Greenbelt since 2016. I have my senior cosmetologist license. And I've gone there multiple times to see if they were hiring. They always say they're going to get back to me and never do. I called today and they said they probably would not be hiring for the next two years. She said it was because business was slow. This would be ideal for me as I know people in the community and I could walk right across the street to work. I also can bring much business to her salon which she says is so slow. I told her I could create my own following. It's still a no. I feel discriminated against.

I had a very bad experience on Labor day. A lady's whose name is Mimi does not respect the time of customer. I scheduled an appointment with her a week ago and showed up on time then she told me she could not do my hair. I canceled every plan of my day for it. She said she should have called me but lost my phone number...unbelievable...I wish I knew in advance so I can plan my day. It is very poor and unprofessional service. Please treat your customer properly.

We had the pleasure of meeting a very special Angel today; Ms. Maria (owner) - - our first trip to her shop and I can tell you - - she is amazing and so caring. She sensed that my wife and I were under distress; and comforted us with care and compassion - ensuring us that God has our Son and we need to continue to Pray every day from the bottom of our hearts. I received an amazing haircut as well - - God is good and sent us to Ms. Maria for a reason. We are from out of town; and only in the area b/c our son is at PG Shock Trauma in a coma for almost a month now. Highly recommend Maria; for a great cut and a caring attitude. Thank you Maria; you will be forever in our hearts!! Maria also asked what our son's name was so that she could pray for his recovery (Joey Adams). God Bless you Sweet Angel (Maria)!!
