10 years ago, shopping at Ulta was a special treat that I'd give myself, even if the store wasn't conveniently located for me. It was something I'd look forward to all week and I'd spend a solid hour just meandering the beautiful store. I've been to Ulta shops in at least 5 different cities, but today, I live about three blocks away from this store and I avoid it and it hurts. This store is a perfect example of why the brick and mortar store is an endangered species. Almost every time I've gone there, entire displays have been empty, lines have been sluggish, and none of the employees look happy to work there. I worked in retail for years and it pains me to say that "back in my day" we knew not to have personal gossipy conversations around customers and we absolutely never walked past them without so much as making eye contact. Ulta, DO BETTER! Pay your employees well, hire a manager who is a team leader, and FFS, learn the market well enough to keep your shelves stocked. Until then, I'll keep shopping online or begrudgingly take my business to Sephora.

The Employees here hawk you like no other. I was asked if I needed help by the SAME PERSON 5 times. Not to mention the constant following you around. I am not an idiot this was absolutely profiling and I was appalled. Train you staff to let customers BE CUSTOMERS no matter their skin. Felt like I was in a prison in here. Awful.

Refused to take my return although it had been within 60 days. Used to be an employee, and they told me I couldn't return it without a receipt, although I was apart of the loyalty program and they could have pulled it up. I knew this policy but they still continued to give me lack-luster excuses, so I contacted customer service, and they told me that the store was forced to return my items. Called back to this location twice, and they still refused to acknowledge my return, telling me only customer service could handle it. Had to get a physical confirmation from customer service forcing them to register my return (the receipt, although it was in the system??) before they did. All times I contacted this store, they refused to help me and even responded in a condescending tone. When I finally went to return my items, I was treated as if it were my fault that the return couldn't be processed. I had previously tried to return my items twice, before having to waste time on a third visit before my return was issued. Wish I had recorded the phone-calls and conversations. Don't shop here.

The employees follow you around as if you are stealing. That is my biggest problem with the store, I pay alot of money here to be getting treated as if I'm a criminal! If your going to be following me around, at least offer customer service! Employees are rude and don't ask if you need assistance.

Need more people working, unhappy faces, and not very welcoming. If you have people working in the store, make sure they are knowledgeable about the store or that they can get someone to help.
