I am a repeat customer here and am never disappointed. I’ve tried a range of styles here from braids to twists to getting my natural hair flat ironed/colored/trimmed. They always do a timely job at an affordable price and I know I will be well taken care of. Everyone who works here is also very kind. For example, I just got a new style yesterday in which I wanted a custom blend of several braiding colors. When the blend wasn’t coming out how I wanted at first, they were committed to working with me to make sure it looked like it did in the picture I showed them. I appreciate their patience and willingness to make the customer happy. I always recommend them to people looking for a new braiding shop! 😊

Service is great and makes want to return. Good atmosphere. Price is reasonable. Only negative is not all the stylists are great( in my opinion) at what they do. They might do a good job If you are lucky and get one of the better experienced stylists or ask for a specific the stylist you want. But otherwise you might end up with an okay looking style.

Great smooth customer service! This salon is outstanding. Especially if you want a silk press, don’t go to the Dominican salon, go here! They know how to care for your hair’s health and you will never be disappointed with your style. I get my hair done by Mimi, but they all look like they do great jobs too! You will leave with your hair looking nice, silky, and shiny. Whenever I also get extensions it looks very natural and blended well.

I have now been a returning client whenever I am in the DMV area for a long time now. I normally get my natural hair pressed and I’ve had no complaints until today. I took a leap of faith getting sew in extensions and I still get furious about my experience two days later. I had purchased and brought my own brand new extensions for an upcoming wedding with high hopes but left disappointed. To begin with, I am a very vocal person when I am receiving a service that I am paying for so at every step of the process I gave instructions to the lady that was doing my hair. However she was very dismissive and continued doing the opposite of my requests and observations each step of the way. First and foremost, my sew in braid foundation was not flat, it was so bulky it looks as if I have a hat underneath the hair. Secondly, and unbeknownst to me she turned around and cut my brand new extensions to fit around the braids & head. I do know this is done occasionally but not to brand new hair, and I’d completely understand if the results turned out great or looked appealing to the eye, but it looks horrendous. Lastly, in the final iron curling process, which I also was repeating everything several times to her, she failed to curl my hair along with the extensions in a blended manner and curled my hair separately. The whole point of the extensions is to make it look natural along with the natural hair, but for some reason she refused to do this simple and final request and ignored me. So here I am, days away from the wedding I’m attending looking a complete mess and a wasted sum of money. If you’re looking for quality sew in, please go anywhere else, literally. My friend had gotten her hair done just one door down and they did a great job. I don’t know if it’s a change in management or complete neglect of customer satisfaction but the quality of service has decreased. Do better!

Very special hair salon starting with the washing of my hair; it felt like I was in a massage spa chair for 30mins. it’s a massage of your scalp, release of tension spots and then washing your hair follicles with conditioning. I was amazed by step one since I am a queen if massages. i got my hair braided into cornrows and it’s not tight, artificial and handled with inorganic roughness. Ethiopia was my hair consultant; she is gentle, careful and enjoys what she is doing. Her care is full expressed as soon as you sit in her chair for hair care. Overall, this is only my 2nd time at this salon and I love it. it makes me feel like I am back home in 🇪🇹 . Thank you Mimi for your excellent service and leadership. I love your Little Ethiopia in Silver Spring. The salon atmosphere is so caring and special; in addition, to the great hair care. Your shop makes me feel like you care for the whole person; not just their hair. By the way, your hair care service is excellent as well.
