My roommate and I walked in without an appointment to get haircuts. The woman (I’m guessing Kiyo from the other reviews) was so friendly and made us feel very comfortable. She listened to what we were asking for and made sure that it was exactly how we wanted it. Kiyo did a great job cutting our hair, and she did it very quickly. She didn’t use a ton of product or heat, which I appreciated. Still, my hair looked shiny and healthy at the end. That’s saying a lot, considering I have subjected it to a lot of abuse with hair dye and color. The pricing is very fair- I paid $50 before tip for a style without wash, and my roommate paid $55 for a style and wash. Considering I’ve paid $100+ at high end salons before, this was a great deal. I will definitely return the next time I need my hair cut! This was one of the most comfortable experiences I’ve had at a salon, and with a great result.

This is my favorite salon. Kiyo is wonderful. She is efficient, quick, and thorough. I am always very happy with my haircut. She listens and provides her feedback. I completely trust her with my hair. She is also an excellent conversationalist! I have never enjoyed talking to my hairdresser until now!

Kiyo is such a nice person and she made me comfortable with her constant engagement while doing my haircut. She’s sweet and does her job perfectly.

I love Kiyo! She's like my Korean mom Haha, I have been going here for a little over 2 years now and enjoy everytime I go. It's a little pricey for a men's haircut, $33, but she washes your hair too. I explain what I want and she will get the gust by your 2nd time(bring a picture your first time, no one knows exactly what you want from a description!) she doesn't speak the best English but you can communicate with her, we talk about everything from politics to global issues. The 1 star review below irritated me because I guarantee Kiyo said something brutality honest to him and he probably got upset, whatever... 25% chance you'll get a walk-in, just make an appointment. Know this, she's been around for awhile and has customers from 10+ years, some who make an appointment with her anytime they are visiting Cambridge!

Very grateful I found this place! I was visiting from out of town and called less than thirty minutes ahead and she was able to work me in (probably on her lunch hour) and she did a fabulous job with my hair. I have long hair so I paid the long hair price of $45. She is professional and listens and knows what she is doing!
