I've done my hair with Tania before and I fell in love with it. She's such a great colorist and stylist, and when I found out she opened her own salon I was so happy for her. She just turn my long and boring brunette hair into a voluminous short bob with grey ombré color in one single session! I was AMAZED with the results. She did exactly what I wanted and beyond ❤️ I left the salon feeling like a Hollywood celebrity. It took me such a long time to find the right person to do such radical change of look but when I met Tania and did my hair with her for the very first time, I knew I was in good hands, and that I had to go back to her for this look that I've been wanting for so long! I don't mind the 3:30 hrs drive since I live 3 states away but she's just that worth it!!

Tania. Hooked. It. UP! First things first, I would like to confirm that this woman DOES KNOW HOW TO DO ETHNIC HAIR. At first I was a bit skeptical of coming here because almost every salon I've been to in the past has either turned me down at the initial sight of my coarse black hair, or had absolutely no idea what they were doing. Tania knows EXACTLY what she's doing and did not hesitate on my hair not ONCE! She is from Brazil, so you should already have an idea of what kind of hair this woman is used to working with, as Brazilians have very similar hair type to black folk. She also explained to me that she has done my kind of hair many times and is very confident in doing it correctly. My hair is coily 3C type hair, I am black and both of my parents are from Honduras. My grandmother from my fathers side is native and has softer black hair. I've always said if you cannot do black people hair, then don't bother calling yourself a hair dresser/ stylist. Tania is among the very few people I've encountered who I can confidently call a REAL hair dresser/ stylist. The ambiance is nothing like what you would expect it to be upon entering, as it is located in an almost hidden basement-like area. It looks and smells wonderful inside, with beautifully decorated walls and plenty of waiting area seats for your boyfriends or girlfriends to have a seat and wait for you to transform into your best self. There is even an eyebrow waxing spa room too! I initially went in for just a wash and blow out/ straighten, but Tania proceeded to give me a treatment and trim ON THE HOUSE! I apologize for not having before and after pictures, but I am more than happy to send you pictures of what my hair looks like when it is not straightened. I HIGHLY recommend coming to this woman's salon, and also telling your fellow kinky hair sisters to come here as well if they ever feel like taking a break from the religious braid out/ twist out routines. Again, thank you so much Tania and please keep doing what you do. You have no idea how many women out there with very similar hair to mine struggle to find a salon like yours.
