I have not had my hair done here before, but I would not recommend the spa services, particularly if this is your first time with a treatment. I have had Brazilians at several places in Western Mass, and this was one of my most uncomfortable experiences. Here's why:
There is no special lighting used in the room to properly see hair. As a result, I left with several sections that still needed to be waxed.
The door opens inward, and looks directly onto the salon, which greatly reduces your sense of privacy when you're naked from the waist down with only a small towel over you.
The aesthetician did not properly dry my skin before waxing, which made it particularly painful, so much so that I had to request powder. It also felt that she was pinching my skin to grab the wax, which hurt a ton.
She didn't clean the wax off my front before she had me flip over, which made my skin stick to itself. Also very uncomfortable.
I also returned for eyelash extensions (only because I had a Groupon). The same employee used tape to help hold down my lower lashes, was constantly resting her hands on my forehead which made it difficult to relax, accidentally pulled on my hair several times, rested the tool against my lid while she was reaching for a lash to apply-which was both uncomfortable and pressed on the material covering my lower lashes (no wonder my upper and lower lashes got stuck together), she used scissors or something to remove the glue that was sticking my upper and lower lashes (had me open my eyes and gave me no warning that a metal object was going to be near my eyes which freaked me out), and when I did open my eyes they burned like hell and I had blurry vision in one eye for a few minutes after she was done. When I told her this she was dismissive of my concerns by chalking it up to fumes. When she did the two week fill (again, Groupon), she didn't ask me if I liked it or needed anything adjusted. I likewise have had this procedure done several times (have fallen asleep in appointments because it can be so relaxing) and none of the things I've described are normal or to be expected.
