Went in to get my son a haircut. There was a wait. We (the woman taking our info Andrew there were also other hairdressers at the front) discussed getting three on the sides and a four on the top. I asked if it was in the computer and the woman responded “yes.” I asked if it was OK if I ran next-door to get my kids a snack at Barnes & Noble. The woman replied “absolutely.” I ran next-door, there was a line, so my mother brought my son back to Supercuts to wait so we did not miss the appointment. When it was his turn, The hairdresser asked what they were doing. My mother said, “I heard my daughter tell the woman at the front desk and also she made sure it was in the computer.” The woman looked at my mom and rudely said “well I’m not a hairdresser. I don’t know,” and continued to be rude to my mother in front of all of the customers. My mom ran over to Barnes and Noble got me. I jogged over with my daughter. By the time I checked out, all of the customers that were in there that heard her rudeness to my mother was gone. I quietly informed the lady while I was paying that I was very disappointed that she was really rude to my mother, then she was extremely rude to me. She blamed me for the behavior and when I told her she must not have heard me and she was stressed with alot going on when I checked in (thinking she must not have processed our conversation, basically I was making an excuse for her but also expressing her rudeness was disappointing), she cut me off and continued to be sarcastic and defensive. I told her I was bringing my mother out for her birthday and we were just running into get a quick haircut for my son (because it really stinks she was treated this way while we were out for her bday). She then accused me of being stressed out Insinuating BECAUSE I was with my mom (how rude can someone get? thank u for that comment again on my mother’s bday). She continued to be sarcastic, roll her eyes and have a sarcastic grin. When I called the manager on the phone (I did not want to bring more attention while kids and customers were there so thought calling would have been batter), she defended her behavior. She said all the other customers (all ones that weren’t there during the initial issue due to turn over, and missed much of the conversation because I was quiet when I was talking to her, however it elevated while she continued her sarcasm as she was waking away from me, distance = elevated volume, but did not go to yelling). The manager then told me that I should have gotten her instead of calling later (that would have been even better to add to my mother’s bday, sit and watch my kids). Anyhow, worst customer service and I, as a previous customer, will NEVER return! I have always had GREAT experiences at the Windham Barber Shop on Cobbetts Rd and will stay there even if it’s not always convenient distance wise.
